Between making records and touring with his band Flaspar, collaborating with artists such as Combatdrug and Viking Moses, and making ears bleed with his noise project Black Acid Laser, Cody Brant stays busy. Yet he found a moment to join DJs Howell & Hi-Tek Hippy as his alter-ego DJ Badi on this winter afternoon to drop a (roughly) 1-1-1 tag team set of psychedelic kitchen sink grooves.

Your hosts open up with a couple of tracks before Las Vegas' DJ Shoe takes it till the end. The first half reflects the sweet summer evening with tracks by Govinda, Mocean Worker, Max Sedgeley, and others. He steps up the energy for the second half with songs of freedom featuring Adam Freeland, Elton John, Soup Dragons, George Michael, and more.
Shoe is an influential DJ to many, especially in the Las Vegas area, where for years he hosted a show on KUNV called "Dimensional Dance. " You can catch him spinning around the playa at Burning Man, or Thursday through Sunday at Little Buddha in The Palms hotel/casino. This is a beautiful and well-crafted set... enjoy!

This was the first time we actually kept it together enough to identify the tracks, record at an audible level, and avoid excessive mic feedback. The 1st "official" El Borracho En Stereo podcast episode was recorded by your hosts, DJs Howell & Hi-Tek Hippy, on this gorgeous sunny afternoon.
We opened on a loungey vibe before quickly progressing to trippy ravey stuff and weird tech house. The adventure then takes a funky, jazzy direction, with a brief hip-hop excursion before a journey on the spacey ambient tip and closing with a favorite you just have to hear.
Featured artists include Combustible Edison, Emergency Broadcast Network, Future Sound of London, 2 Under Par, Eddie Grant, H Foundation, Jimmy Smith, The Meters, Nas & Ludacris, Gang Starr, Beastie Boys, N2O, Ultraviolet Explorer, and more.
